DATELINE BREADLINE: Congressman Ron Paul knows he has no chance to be the GOP candidate for president. "I'm only running for the free meals and the increase in speaker's fees when I'm no longer an elected official," said the Texas Representative at the White Wine and Caviar Importers Gala Fundraiser in Dallas. "I can't accept gifts as a lawmaker, but I can be showered with free food as a candidate. Technically, the meals are paid for by my campaign committee, but nothing comes out of my pocket."

His previous runs for president, as a candidate on the Libertarian Party ticket, were barely a blip over Snoopy. TALONNEWS got an exclusive interview him and asked why he is running again, in a different party. "The Libertarian Party is lots of fun and they were more receptive to my ideas than the Republicans are, but nobody buys their books and they don't know how to broil a lobster." Then he was off to watch the Dallas Cowboys from a box seat in Texas Stadium.
