WARSHINGTON: President Bush accused Demoncrats of
not "[managing] to pass many important bills" and
taking way too much vacation time while there was important work to do.
"We're now more than halfway through October, and the new leaders
in Congress have had more than nine months to get things done for the
American people," said Bush. "We haven't removed health care from
millions of poor children, because Congress can't get its act together."
"I think it's their [Congress'] fault the bills aren't moving,"
continued Bush. "One thing Congress should not be doing is sorting
out the historical record of the Ottoman Empire. I mean,
I've killed almost as many Iraqis as the Turks killed Armenians,
but Congress isn't wasting its time passing bills condemning me
for genocide."
