WASHINGTON: The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA)
lifted a page from TALONNEWS in planting fake reporters
at a recent phony press conference.
Vice Admiral Harvey E. Johnson, the Deputy Chief Administrator of
FEMA, was questioned by employees pretending to be news reporters
at a press conference on the California wildfires.
It was later revealed by real reporters that the fake reporters
were fake. This episode harkens back to Jim Gannon (formerly
of Talon News), who, though a lowly male prostitute, worked his
way up to fake White House reporter and lobbed prewritten
softball questions to President Bush.
TALONNEWS is disappointed that the Bush Administration,
previously a supporter of replacing government agencies with
private American contractors whereever possible, would use
a government agency (FEMA) to create untested fake news reporters when
TALONNEWS stands ready to offer proven fake news reporters
from the private sector.
