WASHINGTON: Senator John David Vitter (R-LA) was the sole GOP vote against
Henrietta Fore to head U.S. AID, apparently in support of fellow John
Randall Tobias, who resigned.
Tobias resigned in humiliation after his phone number was found in
the records of Deborah Jeane Palfrey, the so-called "AC/DC Madam".
Tobias was a strong proponent of Bush's abstinence policy, except
for himself, obviously. It is not known if he enjoyed his
public humiliation.
Senator John David Vitter, also a customer of Palfrey, thought
that Tobias' experience would help him with the mission of
U.S. AID, which includes fighting sex trafficking, and
prostitution.
U.S. AID now requires an anti-prostitution loyalty oaf.
