WISHINGTON: One of Ex-Senator Larry Craig's lawyers said
Wednesday that the Senate "has no business looking into the
conduct of one of its own" following Craig's guilty plea.
"We ought to seek to have the committee dismiss this outright,"
said attorney Stan Brand. "The Republican leadership called for
an ethics investigation that had nothing to do with his office."
Attorney Stan Brand denied being a character in a Joseph Heller novel.
Senator Craig was arrested for entering the men's room at a
Minneapolis airport.
