PAKISTAN? al-Qaeda chieftan Osama bin Laden released a new
video of himself, vowing to step up attacks in Iraq
and chiding the US as weak.
bin Laden, sporting a beard with a black dye job, made several
references to president Bush and Iraq. "I find it interesting
that Iraq was mentioned, which is a reminder that Iraq is a
part of this war against extremists," said Bush. "I know we
started the war against Iraq as a complete sham, but it looks
like everything turned out all right. Except for all those dead
people, I mean."
bin Laden could not be reached for comment, which seems to
be the point.
