IRAN: President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad announced plans to
visit, but not press for, the site of the 2001 terrorist
attack on the World Trade Center.
"Many innocent people were killed there. Some of those
people were American citizens obviously. We obviously
are very much against any terrorist action and any killing,"
said Ahmadinejad. "I can't understand why Americans would
be against such a visit, unless it was due to all the
fearmongering by the current administration trying to
whip up more war hysteria."
