NEW YORK: President Bush lambasted Myanmar's dictatorship for
a "a 19-year reign of fear" and said "Americans are outraged
by the situation in Burma."
Bush also berated countries like Belarus, North Korea, Syria
and Iran for suspending Habeas Corpus and operating
prisons where people could be held without charge for months.
"These are only five of the 193 countries that threaten the
United States," said Bush. "The US cannot allow these threats
to exist unanswered."
Questions on what his administration intended to do about
these countries went unanswered.
