TEXASS: John Hagee of the Cornerstone Church in San Antonio is outraged at the remarks by Rev. Jeremiah Wright. "He's not racist enough. He's not batshit insane. He's angry, but directs his anger at real problems. I am outraged by the comments that were made and saddened by the spectacle that we saw yesterday."

John McCain gratefully accepted the endorsement of Hagee, and said of the Wright controversy, "I don't care. It's hard enough lurching to the right without having trying to sort out which insane reverend said what. I'll just stand by anyone who can buy me some votes."

Lurch could be reached for comment, but he only groaned.
