REDDING, CA: The Natural Surrealist Light People's Party,
home of George Papoon's campoon for president of the United States,
has endorsed carpoonist Phil "Philbert" Fountain for Redding City Council.
Papoon's vice-presidential running mate, George Leroy Tirebiter,
said in a prepaid statement: "Local Natural Surrealists agree,
aid the Imaginary Peoples Party! You have my support. Viva Redding!"
Fountain, who blogs the intertubes at philbertosophy.wordpress.com,
already has bumper stickers, but lacks cars, reportedly to reduce
his carbon footprint.
Other Redding residents were reportedly alarmed by someone of
Fountain's ilk to be running for city council.
