OUTSIDE THE BELTWAY: For the first time in nearly four
months, the stock market had an up week thanks to The Daily Show's
Jon Stewart.
On the surface a comedy show touting "fake news,"
Stewart managed to present a scandal in a way no other American media
outlet had dared. It was the first whiff of real journalism in many
a moon. America responded by having the confidence to buy stocks.
We here at TALONNEWS know a thing or two about "fake news" and can
spot when a professed "snake oil salesman" is deceiving you by
telling the truth. Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert have been
consistently on the forefront of investigative journalism, reporting
and delving deeper into stories that are completely missed or
hopelessly underreported by CNN, Fox "News," 60 Minutes, The News
Hour or American Idol. Kudos to Stewart and the researchers who had
to slog through hours of garbage and lies. They worked hard to be
America's most trusted name in news, and we honor them for their
efforts.
In a related story, Alex Rodriguez said he hadn't watched CNBC since 2003.
